The work covers upgrading and widening work along a 4.5km route and involves construction of stations and elevated bus rapid transit lanes including the Tongi Bridge.
The contract is jointly financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the government of Bangladesh.
The international competitive bidding process will be conducted in accordance with ADB's single-stage, two-envelope bidding procedure. The deadline for the submission of bids is in mid July.
