The 35-page road maintenance annual report from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport & Tourism also covers tunnels.

In total, 140,814 publically owned bridges were inspected. Problems listed with the 141 worst bridges include scour, cracks and corrosion of bearings. Some of the bridges needing urgent work are of unknown age; the newest on the list appears to have been built in 1998.

A further 14,500 bridges were found to be in need of remedial measures and more than 72,700 were recommended for precautionary measures.
