The Croatian Government has unanimously made a decision to construct a motorway linking Zagreb and Split and set up a commission, with Premier Ivica Racan at its head, to oversee the prompt advancement of the project. Racan's assessment is that the motorway will be built within three years, with construction commencing in June 2002. The entire project will cost US$1.35 billion.
