NEWS / Russia agrees plan for Samur River bridges

Authorities in Azerbaijan and Russia have agreed to work together to develop plans to repair the existing bridge over the Samur River and build a second crossing.

The existing bridge provides a key crossing of the river and both Russia and Azerbaijan have agreed on the need for additional capacity. 

They will work together to expedite the signing of intergovernmental agreements for repairs to the existing structure and construction of the new crossing near Yarag-Kazmalyar in Russia and Samur in Azerbaijan.
