New York State’s Thruway Authority has received three proposals for building a new bridge to replace the Tappan Zee.
The proposals comprise more than 70 boxes of documents and an estimated 750,000 pages.
The bids are from the following teams:
- Kiewit-Skanska-Weeks Joint Venture (Kiewit Infrastructure, Skanska USA Civil Northeast, and Weeks Marine)
- Tappan Zee Bridge Partners (Bechtel Infrastructure Corporation and Tutor Perini Corporation)
- Tappan Zee Constructors (Fluor Enterprises, American Bridge Company, Granite Construction Northeast and Traylor Bros)
The first stage of the assessment involves reviewing the proposals for completeness and compliance before the proposals are deemed accepted for substantive selection review, a process expected to take four weeks given the massive volume of material.
