A worker was killed and about a dozen others injured yesterday by the collapse of a section of a bridge being built as part of the Mumbai Metro project in India.
Local reports say that concrete was being placed when the collapse happened. Slipppage of the falsework following heavy rain is being suggested as a possible contributing cause of the accident.
It is less than two months since a fatal accident on Mumbai's Eastern Freeway (link opens in new tab).
