Klohn Crippen Berger has begun construction engineering for the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge in California. The Vancouver-based company is part of American Bridge's team for the record-breaking structure. The deck of the self-anchored suspension bridge will need to be in place on falsework before the cables can be installed. Klohn Crippen Berger is providing structural and geotechnical design for 16 falsework towers in San Francisco Bay and will also analyse erection staging for the steel box girders.
