A new rail bridge in the Netherlands was slid into its final position in an operation this month, after demolition of the old bridge over the A1. The highway is being widened and a new bridge is needed to cross the new road. The 3,400t steel arch was brought alongside the existing bridge in another overnight operation earlier this year, and with the most recent movement, is now in its permanent location.
