Salary: GBP27-30,000 Location: Birmingham, United Kingdom (JOB REF: 137009) Our Client is looking for a Structures/Bridge Engineer to be a member of the structures team responsible for carrying out design and assessment of bridges and other highways structures. You will be required to undertake design, assessment to current Highways and other British Standards. You will be involved in the preparation of contract documentation and other reports to current Highways and other British Standards. You will have the ability to delegate and assign work to graduate engineers and technicians to achieve project outputs to time and the ability to communicate both internally with the team and other internal departments and also externally with clients and other third party organisations You will have the day to day management of graduate engineers and technicians within your team. You will have a Degree or formal qualification in relevant technical discipline. You will be working towards professional qualification and will ideally have a CEng, MICE, MIStructE or MIStructE or degree/HNC/HND level with significant experience. You will be an Incorporated engineer/Associate membership of relevant technical institution. You will have extensive knowledge of bridge assessment to current British Standards. You will have working knowledge of structural engineering software for grillage & frame analysis and use of Finite Element analysis packages. You will be able to work independently with minimum supervision and able to develop client relationships. You will give technical guidance/supervision to junior professional staff.
