You will assist in allocating and managing staff and other resources to deliver projects to agreed budgets and timescales and monitor and provide information to project stakeholders particularly in relation to timescales, cost and quality.

You will have a Degree or formal qualification in relevant technical discipline (suitable for full corporate membership of ICE or IStructE).  You will be professionally and academically qualified with a CEng, MICE or MIStructE ideally or Incorporated engineer/Associate membership of relevant technical institution.  You will have extensive knowledge of bridge design, assessment, inspection and maintenance.  You will be able to exercise judgement in independent evaluation, selection and interpretation of standard techniques, procedures and criteria, able to work independently with minimum supervision and able to develop client relationships.  You will have working experience of Quality Assurance standards and will give technical guidance/supervision to junior professional staff.  You will have experience of working with local authority clients, Highways Agency or other regulatory bodies and awareness of the procedures of these organisation and proven bridges and building structures design experience.
