You will act as a key member of the design team to ensure that projects are delivered within the timescales, quality and costs agreed with the client. You will build excellent working relationships with clients and supply chain partners and deliver bridge design solutions. You will provide assistance to the team leader in financial, quality and environmental management of projects as well as forward financial and operational planning. A key aspect of the role is providing technical advice and guidance to the design team as well as mentoring and developing staff. You will be a Chartered Structural or Civil Engineer. Extensive experience of bridge design, bridge assessment, and bridge inspections is essential as is knowledge of CDM and conditions of contract. Familiar with either a structural or civil engineering design office environment, you will show an aptitude for designing highway structures and carrying out the associated site and contract administration.
