The deadline for entries to the 2008 Footbridge Awards is 14 JANUARY 2008. The awards, which are organised and sponsored by Bridge design & engineering magazine,

honour projects of all sizes for excellence in structural engineering either in  technical or aesthetic terms. All bridges for pedestrians, cyclists or equestrians, which were opened to the public between 1 January 2005 and 31 December 2007, are eligible to enter.

The six awards will be presented at the Footbridge 2008 conference in Portugal next July.

CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES IS 14 JANUARY 2008.
