Winner announced in Sheffield competition

Ramboll Whitby Bird and Tim Norlund, a 23-year-old Danish architect, have won first prize in the Sheffield Parkway footbridge competition, beating more than 100 entries.
The winning design was considered to be both inspired and inspiring. It is based on a simple ‘O’ ring design. The winners will now work with a client team led by Rotherham Council to take the scheme forward.
Four other teams had been shortlisted.
