Tendering to start this year for Tagus bridge
Published: April 04, 2008
Portugal's government has confirmed its approval of a third crossing of the Tagus and plans to launch an international tender in November. The bridge will carry road traffic as well as high-speed and conventional rail. The approval takes account of a report by Laboratório Nacional de Engenharia Civil, which recommended positioning the link on the Chelas-Barreiro corridor. The latest image shows a cable-stayed structure. |
