Bridge over the River Oder

Acciona is building a new cable-stayed bridge over the River Oder.

Acciona and its subsidiary Mostostal Warszawa have been appointed to build a major cable-stayed bridge over the River Odra in Wroclaw, Poland.

The 612m-long bridge will will cost US$259 million and take 30 months to build. It will be flanked by elevated approaches, giving a total length for the structure of 1.75km.

The central pylon will stand on an island in the river and its 122m height will make it the tallest in the country. The bridge will be the first in the country to be equipped from the outset with a structural monitoring system.
