Chinese company lands Ecuador contract

Ecuador's Ministry of Transport & Public Works signed a US$102 million contract yesterday with China's Guanxi Road & Bridge Engineering Corporation for construction of the fourth bridge over the River Babahoyo.
The new crossing will relieve traffic on the heavily-used Puente de la Unidad Nacional in Guayaquil. Work is scheduled to take two years.
