Work stops to mark I-35W anniversary

All work on the new I-35W Bridge over the Mississippi River will stop this afternoon in observance of the first anniversary of the old bridge's collapse, which killed 13 people. Crews from contractor Flatiron-Manson have been working this week pouring concrete to close the final gap on the main river span of the new bridge. The new I35-W St Anthony Falls Bridge is due for completion by 24 December 2008.
