Update issued on Scudder Falls project
Published: August 21, 2008
The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission has published the latest plans for the project to improve the I-95/Scudder Falls Bridge. The preferred alternative involves replacing the existing outdated four-lane Scudder Falls Bridge with a new structure on the upstream side. It would have five lanes northbound and four southbound. The inclusion of provision for bicycles and pedestrians on the southbound side is being considered and a decision will be made during the final design. The project's draft environmental assessment currently being reviewed by the USA’s Federal Highway Administration and the departments of transportation in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. |
