Published:  August 26, 2008

Michael Baker Jr has won a US$1.1 million contract to determine the type of bridge for the replacement of an existing crossing that carries the US 421 over the Ohio River between Milton, Kentucky, and Madison, Indiana in the USA.

Baker’s three year contract involves preparing a report recommending the bridge type for the 975m-long structure. The company will also produce a rehabilitation report for the existing truss bridge.

The work will be carried out under a subcontract for Wilbur Smith Associates for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the Indiana Department of Transportation.
