Infinity Bridge opens

Tees Valley Regeneration's Infinity Bridge was officially opened yesterday.

The Infinity Bridge at Stockton's North Shore in Northern England officially opened yesterday, with celebrations including a spectacular firework display. It comes into public use tomorrow.

The sweeping double-arched design is by Spence Associates and Expedition Engineering. Contractor for the project was Balfour Beatty, working with subcontractors Cleveland Bridge and Dorman Long.

The bridge has already won several awards from organisations including the Institution of Civil Engineers and Constructing Excellence.
