Utrecht station to gain new pedestrian and cycle bridge

Cepezed's design has been picked for the new Utrecht bridge.

Cepezed Architects has won the design tender for a 275m-long bridge in the Dutch city of Utrecht.

The US$20 million cycle and pedestrian bridge will cross rail tracks next to the city's central station and will provide access to the platforms while linking the Croeselaan and the Moreelsepark areas.

Completion is planned for the first quarter of 2012.
