Entries invited for two award schemes

The European Convention for Constructional Steelwork (ECCS) and the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) are each inviting entries for awards. The ECCS 2010 European Steel Bridges Awards are open to steel and composite bridges whose steel structures were fabricated in the ECCS member countries. Work must have been completed and ready for use in the period between 31 May 2008 and the 31 May 2010. Awards categories include road and railway bridges, footbridges and refurbishment of an existing bridge. The deadline for entries is 15 March and the awards will be presented at an international symposium in Turkey in September. The IStructE has 10 categories in its annual awards, with a deadline for entries of 16 April.
