Operation of the existing Stillwater Lift Bridge leads to severe traffic delays, especially during the tourist season. The report evaluates four alignments for a new bridge as well as a “no build” approach. Options include new two-way bridges as well as a one way crossing which would work in tandem with the lift bridge.

Public consultation runs until 6 October. The preferred solution will be chosen later this year.
