Fatalities prompt suspension of Macau work

Construction of a major cable-stayed bridge in Macau was suspended yesterday following the deaths of two workers who fell from the structure. Safety on the scheme will now be scrutinised. The 2.2km bridge has two decks, with the lower one reserved for use during typhoons. Completion is due by the end of this year.
