The series of conferences is supported by the Structural Stability Research Council (SSRC) and aims to summarise progress in theoretical, numerical and experimental research in the field of stability and ductility of steel and composite steel-concrete structures.
The International Colloquium series started in 1972 in Paris, and subsequent editions have been held in several different cities and countries, the last four being held in: Timisoara, Romania (1999), Budapest, Hungary (2002), Lisbon, Portugal (2006) and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2010).
