The Mandurah Estuary Bridge duplication project in Perth, Western Australia, has reached a major milestone.
The Australian Government and the Western Australian Government together named Georgiou Group Pty Ltd as the preferred contractor for design and delivery.
The national and regional governments will each contribute US$35 million to the project to construct a second two-lane bridge with a shared path for riders and pedestrians. It will lie to the south of the existing Mandurah Estuary Bridge, which was constructed in the 1980s with the expectation that it would be duplicated.
The aim is to complete the project towards the end of 2025.
