A global engineering solutions provider has announced it will end its steel grid deck product line because customers are increasingly adopting newer technologies.
LB Foster will stop production of fabricated grid decks at its Pennsylvania, USA, site towards the end of 2023, focusing instead on bridge forms.
The company supplied materials to the rehab of the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, (link opens in new tab) winning a contract to manufacture 29,000m2 of steel grid bridge deck panels.
