The earthquake on 18 March had a magnitude of 5.7. Ten teams of inspectors carried out the checks on the state's bridges, with only one - a ramp at Union Park - noted to have damage.
Thorough inspection followed, including testing of the major structural components that were of concern, but no defects were found. Minor repairs were carried out and the bridge reopened at the start of this week.
