A suspension bridge held in place by cables anchored in the mouths of golden lions is back in place after restoration work.
Löwenbrücke, which was built in 1838, in the Berlin park Tiergarten, is a listed historic monument. Structural damage meant it had to be dismantled in 2014, but following a restoration it is now back in place.

Planning and structural engineering for the renovation were the responsibility of sbp. Modern timber with improved resistance to decomposition has been used, and stainless steel cables. The original cast-iron lions were in good shape and have been reused with some renovation.
