A 1.2km ocean bridge in the Brazilian state of Paraná has been joined and the project to bridge Guaratuba Bay is now in its final stretch (link opens in new tab).

During February, the 12 pairs of stays on each of the two masts of the 320m cable-stayed section were installed. Now, contractors are installing lighting, barriers, electrical conduits and guard rails.

In early May, Guaratuba Bridge will form part of the course of the Paraná International Marathon.
