Amey is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced subcontractor. The work is the fourth of 12 phases that will be undertaken over the next six to seven years to improve the 10km of walkways that provide access to the underside of the bridge. The US$1.8 million phase that is being tendered will focus on about 600m of the walkways underneath the north side span of the bridge.

Tasks are expected to include design and installation of a suitable suspended temporary works platform, structural steel fabrication and the refurbishment or replacement of selected structural steelwork components and fixings.
