Botswana’s Ministry of Transport & Communications says that it is reviewing the design of the planned Mohembo Bridge with the aim of scaling it down to a more affordable design.
Procurement of consultancy services for the design review is at an advanced stage and the recommendation for the award of design review had been submitted for adjudication.
“Once awarded the review is expected to take six months," said minister Tshenolo Mabeo. "The construction of the bridge will be considered alongside other priority projects in the next financial year."
