Hunt has 26 years of experience on major infrastructure projects in Canada, the US and South America. Previously he was with Amec, where he was based in Phoenix, Arizona, leading the company's infrastructure division of 400 employees in offices throughout Canada and the US.

Some of Hunt's international projects include the planning of a new railway, the construction of a port in Chile, and the planning of the most northerly port in the USA, the DeLong Mountain Terminal. In British Columbia he has worked on the Roberts Bank Superport, BC Place Shoreline Redevelopment and Ballantyne Pier.

Originally from Victoria, BC, Hunt earned his engineering degree at the University of British Columbia and has a master's degree in project management.
