A working group with representatives from both countries will be set up straightaway to begin preparations for developing the projects.

One of the bridges will link Nikopol in Bulgaria with Turnu Magurele in Romania. The other will link Silistra in Bulgaria and Calarasi in Romania.

The public-private partnership model is expected to be used for the construction of the new bridges.

There are already two bridges connecting the two countries across the Danube.
