The Scottish Executive is to appoint a team of independent consultants to carry out a detailed study of the social, economic and environmental costs and impacts of retaining or removing tolls from the Forth and Tay road bridges. Tenders will be invited for the project, with the consultants appointed by the end of the summer. The study will focus on the impacts of the tolls both locally and nationally.
