The Forth Estuary Transport Authority has announced a contract to replace, or in some cases refurbish, rocker and roller bearings on the approach viaducts to the Forth Road Bridge.
The contract also involves concrete repairs to the piers and strengthening of the steel box superstructures.
The estimated value of the three-year project is US$24.6 million. The deadline for requests to participate is 28 August and the invitations to tender are expected to be dispatched in early October.
