The 50:50 JV of Italy’s Astaldi and Mumbai-based Reliance Infrastructure will build the scheme under an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract.

The 17.7km route will link the neighbourhoods of Versova and Branda. Its main section will include the construction of a cable-stayed bridge as well as three other bridges, to guarantee navigation in the area. The project is set to take 60 months, followed by two years of maintenance.
