Controlled explosive demolition of the unsafe Lake Champlain Bridge is set take place at 10am local time tomorrow (Wednesday 23 December) in preparation for construction of a new crossing.
The demolition is due to be broadcast live online at www.nysdot.gov/lakechamplainbridge.
Advanced Explosives Demolition of Idaho has been appointed by New York State Department of Transportation and Vermont Agency of Transportation to bring down the bridge, which has been closed since October when it was found too unsafe to use.
