New York City Department of Transportation is expected to let the contract for renovation of the Manhattan Bridge to contractor Koch Skanska, which submitted the lowest bid. The US$175 million project involves comprehensive renovation of the suspended spans, approach spans and access roads and tunnels. Work will start in October and is scheduled to complete in 44 months.
