PB wins California construction manager contract
The County of San Bernardino has named Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) construction manager for a highway interchange rehabilitation project on Route I-10 in Fontana, California. The US$16 million project entails modified freeway ramps, a new bridge and new roadways connecting I-10 with Etiwanda Avenue. The two-phased project is located in the cities of Ontario and Fontana in an unincorporated section of San Bernardino County. I-10 serves as the primary route for east-west travel and goods movement in the Southern California metropolitan area. PB will be responsible for providing complete construction management services, including contract administration, quality assurance, schedule, cost control, inspection, construction staking, and materials testing for the County of San Bernardino, California Department of Transportation and the private developer, CCG Ontario. Construction on the interchange will be completed in July 2003.
