Consultant Flint & Neill Partnership and Wilkinson Eyre Architects have won a commission to design a new three-way bridge over the Calder and Ribble rivers in Lancashire, UK. The unusual three-pronged arch configuration of the structure arises because the bridge spans the confluence of the two waterways. GRP permanent formwork will be used to solve the complex construction problems at the remote site.
