The 1.5km-long Jim Anderson Bridge was officially opened on Sunday near Sydney, Australia to form the high-level Windsor flood evacuation route, which is part of of a floodplain management strategy. A time- lapse video commissioned by the Roads & Traffic Authority, New South Wales compresses the 16 month construction of the concrete viaduct to less than a minute.
An exposure was taken every 15 minutes. The flood evacuation route was part of the Windsor Road Upgrade project. Benefits include additional time for residents to evacuate the area during times of flooding and improved local journeys.
