A 75m tall crawler crane has lifted a new landmark footbridge into place over the River Trent in Nottingham, UK.

In an operation coordinated by Mammoet, Briton and Balfour Beatty, the Waterside Bridge is lifted into its spot on the river Trent. Credit: Transport Nottingham.

The 85m Waterside Bridge is a key part of Nottingham City Council’s active travel network.

The lift was co-ordinated by Balfour Beatty, Mammoet and Briton Fabricators.

Waterside Bridge is expected to open in the spring. It was funded by the UK’s central government.
