The Ukraine Cabinet of Ministers has scrapped its agreement with Russia for the joint construction of a US$6 billion bridge across the Kerch Strait.
Ukraine and Russia had taken the decision in 2010 to build the 19km bridge, which was due for completion by 2020. It was to carry both road and rail.
Russia had set out budget allocations last month in preparation for appointing a contractor.
