A groundbreaking ceremony has marked the start of construction of the Tan Vu - Lach Huyen Bridge in Vietnam.
The overall project length is some 15.5km, including a 5.44km bridge section over the sea and 10km of approach roads.
The road and bridge will form part of the infrastructure supporting the development of Lach Huyen Port.
It will be Vietnam's longest sea crossing and will be built under a public-private partnership scheme in collaboration with Japan, which has also provided funding.
