With sustained growth and planned expansion, the long span bridge engineering group of an internationally-reputable company invites experienced professionals to join its team. This company has a heavy workload and encouraging future prospects offering challenges to tackle some of the world’s longest and most complex cable-supported bridges.
Applications are invited from bridge engineers with proven practical experience in the analysis, design and detailing of cable-stayed and suspension bridges. Expertise in the art and science of wind engineering, aerodynamics, structural dynamics, earthquake-resistance design, navigation simulation, large-displacement impact studies, wind and structural health monitoring, is expected of the candidates.
Applicants with skills in construction engineering including stage-by-stage erection analysis, bridge geometry monitoring, control and adjustment, steelwork fabrication, prestressed concrete technology and temporary works for large bridge construction, are preferred. In particular candidates with over 20 years of experience and proven track records in the long span bridge industry are being sought for the technical management roles.
Candidates are expected to be conversant with international practice for design and construction specifications. A thorough understanding of erection techniques, suspension and stay cable technology, vibration control; and experience in working with contractors in the development of construction methodology will be essential. The ideal candidates will be those who have combined experience in scheme development, analysis, design and large bridge erection operations on site.
