Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in the USA has awarded Michael Baker Jr a US$2.3 million contract for construction inspection services for the Boston Bridge project.
This project involves the rehabilitation of a two-lane eight-span steel truss bridge over the Youghiogheny River. Work includes steel stringer replacement, reinforcing steel floor beams with steel cover plates, substructure repairs and repainting the entire structure.
Baker's role in providing construction inspection and documentation services is expected to start August.
