A consortium of Isolux Corsán and Enescil has has submitted the lowest bid for construction of a second bridge over the Rio Guaíba in Brazil.
Its bid of US$268 million for the 1.9km bridge was relatively close to the second-placed bid of US$271 million from Queiroz Galvão and EGT Engenharia but the remaining two bids were considerably higher, at US$393 million and US$401 million.
The tender committee will now examine the technical bids to before confirming the contract award.
