BMD Constructions will build the bridges as part of the upgrade of 155km of the Pacific Highway between Woolgoolga and Ballina on the New South Wales north coast.

The package of work involves building 16 bridges at 10 locations including the construction of a bridge more than 870m long over Shark Creek.

The BMD team will work with Roads & Maritime Services, its delivery partner Pacific Complete, and a number of other contractors who will be carrying out the main civil work, piling work, access roads and supply of precast concrete.

The Australian and NSW governments are jointly funding the US$3.48 billion Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade, which is expected to be completed by 2020.
