China State Corporation has won the US$105 million contract, which is part of the project’s second phase and involves the construction of bridges across the Canal on Al Wasl and Jumeirah Roads. It also includes a multi-level interchange.

The Dubai Water Canal project will provide a link between the Dubai Creek and the Arabian Gulf.
The contract is due for completion in the final quarter of 2016 to coincide with the completion of Phase I of the project, which covers the construction of a bridge on the Sheikh Zayed Road.
